Starting TeamWork installation

The installation of all TeamWork standard components can be done with the 32-bit executable setup program. This makes it easy to install TeamWork, even for inexperienced users. After you have installed and correctly licensed the TeamWork application server, you can then use the same installation program to install TeamWork on client computers or additional servers. Optional TeamWork modules are installed with their own setup program.

The remainder of this topic and the referenced topics describe the 32-bit executable setup program. For information on the Windows Installer Package, see Controlling Windows Installer packages.

To start the TeamWork installation:

  1. If you will be installing the server components, perform the tasks described in Preparing for installation.
  2. Insert the TeamWork disc into an appropriate drive.
  3. The Autorun feature of Windows starts the installation process for you. If you do not have Autorun enabled, browse the installation disc, and open Setup.exe. The TeamWork Setup program starts and searches for a previous installation. If one is found, you will be prompted to perform an upgrade as described in Upgrading TeamWork. If you are installing TeamWork for the first time on a computer, the Choose Setup Language page appears.
  4. Choose a language in which to install the software and click Next. The Welcome page appears.
  5. Click Next. The License Agreement page appears.
  6. Read the license agreement and click Yes or No to either accept or reject the agreement, respectively. If you do not accept the license agreement, the installation will stop. If you accept the license agreement, the Select Components page appears.
  7. The next steps in the installation process are different depending on which components you want to install and are described in Installing the server components or Installing the client components or Installing the Developer components.
